Our Team
Founding Asset Management Specialists in 1997, Edwin Engle has assiduously established a strong hold in the market and a great deal of respect from his colleagues. With a twenty year career in commercial real estate, Edwin has a well-qualified background in the intricacies of construction as well as property maintenance and supervision, knowing the ins and outs of the management business literally from the foundation up. Though very successful in the business world, Edwin still interacts with customers in an extremely personal manner, holding their concerns at the forefront. Handling leasing negotiations for his customers, Edwin takes a hands-on management approach, checking on properties in person to secure their full success potential. Edwin manages all the key accounts and works closely with Asset Management Specialists’ major clients. A background that includes the overseeing of residential, commercial, and industrial properties, most especially as a valued employee of Data Property Services, Edwin proves himself a true “asset” in the property management world, more than capable of tackling and improving upon any real estate holding under his supervision. A licensed Real Estate Broker since 1994, Edwin received his Certification of Property Management from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), though he also attended the University of Albuquerque and Palomar College for his general education as well as business and real estate management courses. Additionally, in his early years, Edwin studied the welding/building trade at Ventura and Moorpark Colleges, adding to his intimate understanding of the management market—literally from the foundation up. Serving on various boards such as the North San Diego County Association of Realtors (NSCAR), the Asset Manager Committee since 1995, and the Member of Board Realtors, Edwin keeps himself up-to-date and well-informed.
Working in the property management business for over fifteen years, Shannon brings a wide-breadth of experience to our team, from expertise in common area reconciliations to leasing commissions and financial reports, Shannon handles special projects and manages corporate activity. Not only familiar with the private sector of the market, Shannon also adds a great deal of corporate insight, having worked with such prestigious companies as M&H Property Management, Pacific West Asset Management Corporation, and Burnham Pacific Properties, Inc. as well.
Brian Stump joined our management team over one year ago, bringing great energy and enthusiasm to our day to day operations. Always juggling a million balls in the air, Brian still consistently manages to stay on top of the game. Recognized in his past positions for excellent service, the development of new accounts, and his top ranking sales figures, Brian adds a dynamic personality to compliment existing management approaches to the commercial real estate business. He has a unique persona that is easy to work with on all levels of our business. Managing all aspects of property management, Brian conducts a large degree of leasing, conducting interviews for all the residential properties and shopping centers Asset Management Specialists, Inc. handles. With Brian’s expertise in growing loan volume and keeping an independent business steadily building on its own success over time, due in large part to his experience in owning and operating his own company, Mortgage Net Branch, AMS has thrived with Brian on board. Overseeing contractors and maintenance of properties, Brian draws on his strong background in people skills and internet interactions. Earning his Bachelor’s degree in sociology, with minors in economics and history from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987, Brian was actively involved on campus, playing for his university’s soccer team all four years. Holding his Real Estate Salesperson License, Brian comes to his current position with a great deal of practical and theoretical background to guide him. Brian involves himself in the local community, contributing a commendable amount of time and energy as a head coach for the Oceanside American Little League the past five years, since 2003. Also serving on the board of his local Y.M.C.A in Pennsylvania in his younger years, Brian works to keep youth active and involved.
